Jerry runs Drool For Tools. This is his tool bench and research notebook for woodworking, fabrication, electronics and shop infrastructure. Rocko is his German shorthaired pointer and shop companion.
Jerry's perspective
Jerry's work spans physical fabrication, electronics and the infrastructure that keeps a shop running. The cordless platforms in his setup are DeWalt 20V and 60V MAX, Milwaukee M12, and Ryobi 40V. That gives the collection a practical focus: the tool itself, the batteries and accessories around it, and the work it fits.
The fabrication section extends that perspective to 3D printers, welders and welding tables.
Kickstarter tools looks back at campaigns launched at least a year ago, connecting the original promises with later reviews and available evidence.
Rocko and the shop
Rocko hangs out in the shop with Jerry and gets a treat when Jerry completes a task. The rest of the time, he's out in the pasture chasing birds and squirrels.
The honorary chief inspector has a few stories of his own. The other morning, he came into the shop at 5 a.m. smelling like a skunk.
What is on the bench
Tools in Jerry's collection and tools documented from the maker's or store's page. Each carries an ownership or measurement tag: we own this one, spec sheet or tested. Listed specs, research conclusions and Jerry's firsthand notes each say where the information comes from.
Experience and research
Jerry's firsthand notes come from what he has shared about using a particular tool. Research sections combine product documentation and other linked evidence into practical explanations of features, compatibility and tradeoffs. A research conclusion identifies its sources and any limits. It does not become a personal-use claim or a measurement.
